106-Year-Old Woman To Finally Get High School Diploma
Reba Williams, a 106-year-old woman from Columbus, Ohio, is finally getting her high school diploma. Apparently, she never graduated from Mount Vernon High School even though she completed all 12 years. It was all due to what is being called an "academic rebellion", whereas she refused to read the final book assigned by her teacher during her last semester.
But 88 years later, the local Board of Education has agreed to forgive that act of academic rebellion. They have also made a motion to approve her diploma. Williams, who has had a long career as a cook at what is now the state's only working farm and park, Malabar Farm State Park, reacted to the board's decision by saying, "That's nice."
