Morgan Freeman Falls Asleep During a Live Television Interview
75-year old actor Morgan Freeman created an online viral buzz when he recently fell asleep during a live TV interview. The satellite interview was very early in the morning, and he and co-star Michael Caine were promoting their new film Now You See Me.
Caine was giving a fairly lengthy response to one of the reporter's questions, when suddenly Freeman just closed his eyes and fell asleep. He woke himself up later near the end of the interview to answer one last question, but his answer seemed to have no flare. The reporter asked him what was needed to be a good narrator, and Freeman simply responded: "You need to be a good reader and have a clear voice."
It was very obvious though that both actors were extremely exhausted, and had probably done 20 or more back-to-back interviews.
Freeman is best known for his starring roles in Lean on Me, Driving Miss Daisy, The Shawshank Redemption, and Invictus. He also co-starred in Clint Eastwood's Oscar-winning film Million Dollar Baby.
