In a statement released by her publicist, O’Brien said she is looking forward to "beginning a relationship with Al Jazeera America, which has made a commitment to producing quality programming and pursuing underreported stories."
Al Jazeera America, which will launch some time in 2013, is an American spin-off of the original Qatar-based network called Al Jazeera. Their headquarters is in New York City with about 600 employees, and they recently bought Al Gore’s Current TV channel to better compete with other American networks.
