Usher Wins Courtroom Custody Battle, After Ex-Wife Tameka Foster Files Emergency Hearing
Multi-platinum singer Usher was recently able to retain custody of his two children. This was the judge's order after his ex-wife Tameka Foster filed an emergency hearing in an Atlanta courthouse when one of the children, Usher V, nearly drowned in a home pool.
Foster was very emotional during the hearing, and even cried when a recording of the 911 call was played. She tried to place the blame on Rena Oden, Usher's aunt who is often caring for the children when Usher is on tour. "I don't believe she had any control over the kids," Foster said.
Foster, whose own son was killed last year in a jet ski accident, further commented to the court, "I don't know where my children are. I don't know who my children are with... I don't know the phone number to the house where they are. I've never seen the house. I don't know a lot."
After the court hearing, Usher and Foster reportedly hugged. Meanwhile, little Usher V is expected to make a full recovery.
